One of the things I love most about home schooling my children is being able to customize the lessons to fit each child and their needs. I teach the core subjects to each of them daily and we build upon those. There are so many things that traditional schools do not teach that I feel that my children need to know, and that is one of the main reasons that I home school both of my children. One of the newest and most fun things we have recently implemented are fun time activities which challenge the children and really get them thinking. Trivia questions are a fun way to do this. This site has some really great material and I use a lot of the things that I find here in my lessons. Trivia games are a fun way to get my childrens’ attention. They love answering the questions, and in the cases where the answers are not obvious, it is a great time for them to utilize their research skills.
